EVELYN E. VALK, AGE 80, FORMERLY OF 98 GRAND BLVD. EXT., SHELBY, DIED FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1996, AT TWIN OAKS CARE CENTER IN MANSFIELD, AFTER AN EXTENDED ILLNESS.

SHE WAS BORN MARCH 21, 1916 IN AKRON, OHIO THE DAUGHTER OF ROBERT C. AND EMMA (ROBERTS) HUTSLER.

MRS. VALK WAS THE FORMER CO-OWNER OF THE STYLE SHOP IN SHELBY FOR MANY YEARS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY A DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW, PAULA AND MICHAEL DURKIN OF SHELBY; 2 GRANDCHILDREN, ANDREW DURKIN OF SHELBY AND MELISSA ROBINSON OF TIFFIN; 3 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; 1 BROTHER
ROBERT HUTSLER OF RAVENNA, OHIO.

SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, PAUL B. VALK, IN 1978, AND A SISTER, ELIZABETH GUENTHER IN 1996.

CALLING HOURS WILL BE ON SUNDAY FROM 2-5 P.M. AT THE TURNER FUNERAL HOME IN SHELBY AND ALSO ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE WHICH WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY AT 10 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME, WITH REV. JEFF MATTHEWS, PASTOR OF FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN OAKLAND CEMETERY IN SHELBY.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS MAY BE MADE TO SHELBY HOME AND PUBILC HEALTH
AND LEFT IN CARE OF THE TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 168 WEST MAIN STREET, SHELBY, OHIO 44875.
